    Job Summary

    The Cardiac Monitor Tech is responsible for observing, interpreting and communicating patient electrocardiographic data.  This person will also perform basic physiologic parameters for the Progressive Care Unit. Responsible for documenting and reporting heart rhythms and changes.  Accountable for alarm limit setting on the monitors while following policies for placing telemetry leads on patients and troubleshoot telemetry problems.



    High School Diploma/GED required



    • At least six months performing relevant duties
    • Demonstrated ability to manage time and task effectively
    • Ability to work within a team and individually
    • Demonstrated ability to manage call volume, professionally
    • Cerner experience is preferred
    • Previous experience in the hospital environment is preferred



    • Successful completion of a basic EKG Arrhythmia Interpretation Class is required
    • Valid American Heart Association for Healthcare Providers BLS course is required
