    Job Summary

    The Paramedic, under the supervision of the ED/EMS Clinical Coordinator, Supervisor and the ED Director, is responsible for the pre-hospital care of patients requiring care as the result of illness/injury and is responsible for the direction of patient care at the Advanced Life Support level.

    Qualifications

    Education: High School Diploma or GED required. Completion of course of study appropriate to the skills of paramedic conducted by an accredited college or school. Exhibits proficiency in pre-hospital care, has strong written and oral communication skills, as well as attention to detail. Experience: 1 year pre-hospital experience at the ALS level is preferred, while previous work experience is considered.  Licenses/Certificates: Paramedic certification required for PA. Valid PA drivers license with Bureau of EMS approved Emergency Vehicle Operations course Must be 21 years of age BLS, ACLS and PALS certification required. Hazmat awareness, NIMS 700, 800, 100 & 200  proof of completion
